It's always good to test things out before hitting the road. Turns out the blogger app on my iPad is not working. As soon as I start typing, the app blinks off. I've deleted/reinstalled, rebooted, you name it, and nothing helps. I guess I just have to wait for the next bug fix.
In the meantime, back to the old fashion method blogging through a browser instead of an app.
For anybody new to my blog: Welcome!
Everybody else: Welcome back!
For the first time in a very long time our Excellent Adventure is contained to the continental United States. Quite a novelty - don't need passports, foreign currency, special data packages, electrical outlet adapter, or Google Translate. Well, hopefully we won't need Google Translate, but if we do we won't have to worry about premium data charges.
So where are we going?
We will be driving what's known as the Grand Circle of national parks - counter clockwise:
Grand Canyon
Arches
Canyonlands
Bryce Canyon
Zion
And ending up in Las Vegas including the Hoover Dam. Obviously not all of the parks included in the Circle, but as many as we can squeeze in in a 15 day time frame.
We are doing this completely on our own - renting a car and driving. The hotels are booked, but what we do from day to day is up to whatever we want to do, wherever we want to do it.
This is going to be great!
Stay tuned!
P.S. There will be a special added attraction after we fly home from Vegas.
A place where I can blog about my travels and other things that wander through my mind
